A Flowery Song

Sapporo Premium

by admin on Jan.22, 2008, under beer, japanese rice lager, lager

Background: Japanese lager brewed with rice and malt. In Canada, of course-where else would Japanese beer come from?

Appearance: Pale amber body, fluffy white head.

Nose: Clean, some mild malt notes and a bit of floral hops.

Taste: Dry, crisp grainy malt and light floral hops. Low to no hop bitterness (I couldn't make my mind up on this-let's go with 'low').

Mouthfeel: Light body and zippy carbonation. Dry, oily finish.

Overall: Light and refreshing. Solidly average example of the style.
